*De-icing is a function of temperature/wind.  Typically, in ponds greater than 1000 gals with a depth of at least 3-5 ft, as long as the air temperature stays above O degrees F  we will keep a small hole open in the ice all winter.

NOTE:  ALL SOLAR PANELS MUST BE POINTED TO THE SOUTH!

AERATOR UNITS PLACEMENT IN THE POND First, the diffuser is to be placed as far away from the effluent or discharge/overflow of the pond as possible. Second, the diffuser is  placed at a 2-3 ft depth  to maximize airflow and minimize power consumption.  Placing the diffuser deeper offers little advantage with  solar powered systems.  For every additional foot of water depth, you may get  a  1-2% per foot  increase in efficiency vs. a + 400% increase in add-on  equipment costs.  We do offer these add-ons, when needed for aesthetics..

We have never seen any comparable Solar Powered Aeration Systems. Other systems require a degree in electrical engineering, a contractors license for installation near any public access, and are a daily maintenance nightmare. Our Solar Bubbler has no installation costs, no additional  wiring costs, and needs no priming- just squeeze the battery clamps in place,  drop the diffuser in water and it aerates.
