Diffuser Installation Instructions
10 watt PV and Batt Box
1.) If available the "Inlet" inspection pipe is the ideal location for the diffuser/valve assembly. DO NOT use "Outlet" inspection pipe for any tank aeration. Other wise locate the the septic tank cover.
2.) Extend diffuser and airline thru a 1/4 inch drill hole in cap/cover to a maximum diffuser water depth of 2-3 foot,, "upstream/before" any baffles/walls. Seal any gaps between airline entry tube with "non-hardening" plumbers putty to prevent entry of dirt or water into the septic tank.
INSURE locking type manhole covers are securely locked and if applicable, covered with 6 to 12" of topsoil when the job is done. If airline is to be covered with topsoil, thread it through 1/2 inch PVC pipe before covering.
2.) Connect air tubing to Solar Aerator and tie-off diffuser lairline so diffuser water depth is no more than 2-3 feet below water surface.
3.) Inspect pump mount unit and remove external debris weekly.
- Locate septic tank cover and remove.
- Lower diffuser/valve assembly into septic tank.
- Point Solar Aerator at sun and attach a standard car battery.
- Securely mount Solar Aerator to a metal garden post.
- Connect air line from septic tank to Solar Aerator.
- Utilizing a garden spade, bury airline threade thru 1/2" PVC pipe, about 1"- 2" under surface so line is not damaged by lawn mowing and other yard maintenance.
