Airlift Aerator Draft Tube is Solar Powered for Deep Water Mixing

Installing an airlift aerator is less costly than placing an air diffuser on the bottom of your pond.  Our 4" solar powered draft tubes can turn 5 lpm of medium fine bubble aeration into 50 lpm of top to bottom pond destratification mixing.  All while providing no carbon footprint and twice the oxygen transfer efficiency at a fraction of the cost of maintenance of grid powered bubblers or mechanical aerators. Powered by our solar aerators you never pay a power bill for aeration again!!! Bottom mounted air diffusers are undesireable from every standpoint because they cause the  following: CLOUDY WATER:  Placing a diffuser on the bottom of the pond suspends solids that cloud the water  and uses up  available oxygen. ENERGY: Every  foot of depth inceases the energy needed to pump air into the water. COST:  Every foot of depth  increases the cost of the aerator design. MAINTENANCE:  Every foot of depth doubles the  pump maintenance costs. Draft tube technology is no secret.  By floating a 4" expandable pipe and placing air bubbles 0.5-1.0 ft inside it, you can aerate at any pond depth.  In this manner you only need an air pump capable of  0.8 psi pressure no matter how deep your water is. All other systems require 1 Psi per 2.31ft of water depth. Our EKBS-10 pumps over 25,000 GPD when you employ a fine bubble membrane diffuser .

Instructions for assembling your own floating airlift aerator draft tube from standard PVC parts available at any hardware store are shown below.

Attach float to  tube support metal clips.

Attach airline to push on nozzle.

Screw float top locking cap tight.

Expand draft tube to desired depth or bend tube to protect from bottom mud.  Standard depth is 6 ft.  Deeper ponds require addtional tubes to any depth.

Place unit in pond and secure with nylon rope to bottom mounted weight (not included) Periodically clean bottom leaf strainer grate.

NOTE:  DRAFT TUBE BUOYANCY  REQUIRES USE OF NON-WEIGHTED AIRLINE ONLY. NON-WEIGHTED AIRLINE CAN BE  BOTTOM MOUNTED BY ATTACHING  BRICKS  AS SHOWN.
