U-Tube Air-Lift Aerator 100% Solar Powered for Deep Water Mixing

Almost all of the oxygen dissolved into  water from an air bubble occurs when the bubble is being formed. Only a negligible amount occurs during the bubbles transit to the surface of the water. If you put that rising bubble in a tube, it transfers its oxygen to the water and then  moves the water above it out the top of the tube. As the oxygen rich  water moves out the top of the tube,  stagnant  water flows in from the bottom of the tube. This is an ancient and common method of pumping water that we call an  airlift aerator.  You can  make the tube 5, 10, or 20 feet long to reach the bottom of deep  ponds,  and it still aerates and mproves water circulation without requiring any additional energy. Certainly an "ah-ha" moment... isn't it?

How the tube works is air goes inside the floating tube, lifts water  out the top and draws water from the tube bottom.

Aerator Efficiency studies are mute when  you consider solar  power is FREE and our cost of maintenance is the lowest of all  available technology.

Installing a floating  U-tube air lift aerator costs less and uses less energy than placing an air diffuser on the bottom of your pond or floating a fountain spray on top of the pond. Air Lift Reactors (ALRs) are well documented. Our 4" solar powered draft tubes can turn 5 lpm of  fine bubble aeration into 50 lpm of top to bottom pond destratification mixing.  All while providing a zero carbon footprint and twice the oxygen transfer efficiency, at a fraction of the cost of maintenance of high pressure grid powered bubblers or high speed mechanical aerators. Powered by our solar aerators you will never pay a power bill for aeration again!!! Floating airlift aerators are the only way to go unless you are into daily maintenance schedules. Bottom mounted air diffusers are undesireable from every standpoint because they make: WATER CLOUDY:  Placing a diffuser on the bottom of the pond suspends solids that cloud the water  and uses up  available oxygen.   However, if you want to suspend solids and reduce the frequency of dredging the pond, our U-Tube is still the best alternative.  It is easily extended to the pond bottom,  anchored and relocated, to clean out your entire pond.  Only the PEC U-Tube can do that!!! HIGH ENERGY USE:  Every foot of diffuser depth  or fountain spray height  increases the cost of the aerator operation.  Draft tubes can use less than 10% of the energy while supplying the same oxygen transfer and mixing as fountains or bottom mounted diffusers. MAINTENANCE A NIGHTMARE:  Every foot of depth doubles the  pump mechanical stress and  maintenance costs. (ask them about the warranty!) PEC Draft Tube  technology mixes at any depth while consuming less power than any other aerator.  By floating a 4" expandable pipe and placing tiny air bubbles 0.5-1.0 ft inside it, you can aerate any pond depth.  You only need a PEC-45  air pump, capable of  0.8 psi pressure, no matter how deep your pond is. All other systems require 25-35 psi to create the same bubble size. Our EKBS-10A DT pumps more than 15 gpm, using an ALAB fine bubble diffuser, at any pond depth you choose.

Attach airline to push on nozzle.

Screw float top locking cap tight.

Expand draft tube to desired depth or bend tube to protect from bottom mud.  Standard depth is 6 ft.  Deeper ponds require addtional tubes to any depth.

Place unit in pond and secure with rope tied to float tube metal hasp and bottom anchor chain.

NOTE:  DRAFT TUBE BUOYANCY  REQUIRES USE OF NON-WEIGHTED AIRLINE ONLY. NON-WEIGHTED AIRLINE CAN BE  BOTTOM MOUNTED BY ATTACHING  BRICKS  AS SHOWN.
